VICTIM CARD POLITICS LIMERICS
VICTIM CARD POLITICS LIMERICS
A pol who would dodge every blame,
Played the victim, a well-practiced game.
With a tear and a sigh,
Critics they’d deny,
And silence the talk of their shame.
A ruler, quite sly and astute,
Made the people feel utterly mute.
With words twist and turned,
The public was burned,
Their truth, in a jester's pursuit.
A plea, quite well-worn, took the stage,
"I'm hurt!" it did loudly enrage.
"See my tears, my strife!"
Ignoring the rife,
Corruption's grim, shadowy cage.
