Manner of removal of fasting activist Sonam Wangchuk: Fatal blow to 'Institutional Conscience'
The legal community and different law associations of India have rightly expressed strong concern, solidarity, and resistance after the Delhi Police removed peaceful activist Sonam Wangchuk from his hunger strike location at Jantar Mantar in a disgraceful and inhumane way. The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) issued a formal resolution showing their deep support for Wangchuk. They expressed disappointment that the "institutional conscience" did not react appropriately to his peaceful protest with the urgency it deserved.
Here is a limerick on situation
Frail fasting man, in sheets so white,
Was seized by men, with words of spite.
From feet they grabbed,
And swiftly nabbed -
A fascist act, in plainest sight
