(Bhavi Nirman Samiti) that is working in the area of alternative primary education project of teaching out-of-school girls of deprived and religious minority communities. The teachers and functionaries of the NGO ( Called Bhavi Nirman Society- BNS), have agreed to develop a STEM primer as a readiness or transitional module of 12 hours before starting the grade one prescribed textbook of English language. Soon this sub-office will be inaugurated officially and efforts will be made give it publicity through local newspapers.
I will be active in North India (Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, HP, UP, Delhi States) and have planned a visit to my old colleagues and educational projects associates and rope them in for STEM awareness activities and STEME education Approach to learning EVS curriculum at middle school level and science subjects at senior school level.
Another sub-office is being negotiated with a school in Kurukshetra (My home town in Haryana State) and they are in the process of getting the permission from the School Management Committee which is most likely to come through by the end of this month when the committee meets. Once these two offices become operative, the CASTME-India Quarterly Newsletter with be launched to report the STEM-Education activities in India.
In India, at the middle school level, under the National Education Policy-2020, the micro credential skill modules of 12 hours related the both Digital Economy and Gig Economy skills for future career options. The modules are prescribed and many published by private publishers which are being scrutinized by schools and there is need to make these modules place-based and transacted through STEM-pedagogy. I will keep you updated with monthly reports on the progress of CASTME-India chapter," reported Dr Kishore
