Cockroach Janta Party: A General Knowledge Brief

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is a satirical political movement in India led by young people. The term "cockroaches" and the idea of unemployed youth being called "parasites of society" sparked the creation of this movement. What started as an insult has now become a symbol of pride, resilience, and political resistance for the youth in India, with their humorous motto: "Secular, Socialist, Democratic, and Lazy."

CJP argues that a corrupt and decaying system has failed the aspirations of the youth, forcing them to deal with the psychological and economic burdens of a crises like paper leaks, unemployment, fuel shortage, corruption, etc., they didn’t cause.

By merging their communication skills with organized political education and grassroots activism, Indian Gen-Z can effectively transform their frustration and disappointment with the system into a united movement. This movement has the potential to reshape the economic landscape, tackle systemic instability, and bring about the significant, lasting change that the youth truly deserve.
