Radical Non-Dualism of Ashtavakra Gita

Short Note on the Ashtavakra Gita's Non-Dualistic Existential Truth

The Ashtavakra Gita presents a profound Advaita, non-dualist view of existence. God, or existential truth, is not a distinct entity separate from one's inner true self, which is pure awareness. Existential truth represents the absolute, formless Self or pure consciousness, Atman, present within each of us and surrounding us as the absolute oneness.

INSPIRED POEM

The world you see, a dream so grand,
Is but the Self, in every land.
No separate God, no distant throne,
You are the Truth, you are the One.

Formless and vast, beyond all name,
Within your heart, the cosmic flame.
The universe is you, and you are all,
No rising up, no destined fall.

This fleeting form, a transient gleam,
You are the Self, the endless stream.
The mind's illusions, fade away,
You are pure Being, night and day.

No duality, no wrong, no right,
Just conscious presence, burning bright.
