Maharaja Sayajirao University Introduces a Controversial Cotemporary Module in Sociology
Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) in Vadodara has launched a new higher education module this session called "Modi Tattva" as part of its Sociology of Patriotism course. This module is said to examine Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s exemplary leadership through the lens of Max Weber’s framework, focusing on his policies such as demonetization and digital nationalism. However, numerous scholars and educators have expressed concerns that the module promotes RSS ideology and the saffronization of education.
