‘God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers’: Happy Mother's Day with Apt Quotes

In the past, many countries already had existing celebrations honoring motherhood on different dates, but most countries have switched over to second Sunday of May as Mother's Day now. In 2026, Mother’s Day falls on May 10.

It was in 1912, Anna Jarvis proposed Second Sunday in May as "Mother's Day", and created the Mother's Day International Association to revere motherhood and celebrate their contribution to society and families.

However, materialism and market forces have commercialized the observance meant to revere mothers.

Here are some pertinent quotes for you which you could use on Mother’s Day.
