Martyrdom: A Poem

Shaheed Diwas, also known as Martyrs' Day in India, is commemorated on March 23 to pay tribute to the ultimate sacrifice made by freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru. On this day back in 1931, they were executed by the British in Lahore jail, turning them into everlasting icons of bravery and revolutionary zeal for the youth.

This day serves as a reminder of the steep price paid for freedom and rights, igniting the spirit of struggle and sacrifice in the younger generation

Their Slogans:

Inquilab Zindabad!
Long Live the Revolution!
Down with imperialism and facism!
Revolution is an inalienable right of mankind!
Freedom is an imperishable birthright of all!

Shahid Bhagat Singh had said, "They may kill me, but they cannot kill my ideas. They can crush my body, but they will not be able to crush my spirit."
.

Martyrdom: A Poem

A life that burns so bright,
For truth, it gives its all.
Though shadows gather near,
The flame will never fall.

For justice, faith, or free,
A stand against the tide,
To choose a greater need,
With courage as their guide.

Though pain may be the cost,
And life itself laid down,
The seed of hope is sown,
A future wears the crown.

The hangman waited, rope in hand,
But freedom's spirit swept the land.
Bhagat Singh fell, his body still,
But freedom's echo, climbed the hill.
