Couplets on detached action inspired by the Bhagavad Gita
The right to act, to let the effort bloom,
Unburdened by the outcome's shadowed room.
Our hands may work, our minds may brightly gleam,
But not to own the harvest of the dream.
The task embraced, a freedom to pursue,
Divorced from all the future might accrue.
We sow the seed, we tend the patient ground,
No claim upon the bounty to be found.
The deed is pure, a motion takes its flight,
A sacred right, beyond the coming light.
To simply do, with purpose strong and clear,
Unmoved by hope, unburdened by a fear.
