Fatherhood as sacred duty: A poem

Father's gentle pat on the tender back
To shape a young mind is a great art
A sacred trust and love so profound -
An unconditional act of a kind heart

To nurture dreams and guide the child
A parent's grace 'n blessings work fine.
By being a guiding light 'n a beacon bright,
A father's affection turns truly divine

Deem parenting a responsive divine act
Raise children with a sense of purpose
Be an example of love, care 'n  compassion
Treat fatherhood a divine calling thus

Yoga Day 2025 Theme: Yoga for One Earth, One Health

 The 11th edition of the UN proclaimed International Day of Yoga is going to be observed on June 21, 2025, with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.  According to the UN the theme 'echoes a vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked.' "Yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind and fosters a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility in daily life. This mindfulness allows one to choose healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. In caring for ourselves, we begin to care for the Earth, reflecting the enduring Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family," adds the UN.  Late Yoga guru B. K. S. Iyengar had once said, “Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.”
