A poem on compassion

 A poem on compassion
~Lalit Kishore

Soft kind words and a gentle hand,
To mend mauled psyche 'n broken heart.
To unshackle chains of hate and wrath,
And set the captive soul free and apart.

Make mind pure, devoid of delusions,
Rooted in cravings, desires ‘n confusions.
Compassion ‘ill then blossom and bloom,
And set the captive soul free from gloom.

With forgiving, forgetting 'n letting go,
Mental horizon widens, heart goes aglow.
Compassion guides us through life smoothly,
All strife ends and one gets liberated soothly.

Compassion's core value, our guiding star,
Illuminates compassion our ignorant mind.
Compassion is beacon shining ever bright,
Nurture kindness, let twisted life unwind.
