Gupti spiritual tradition: The way to protect the purity of soul

In many spiritual traditions of the East – prominently, Vedic and Jain traditions – ‘Gupti Tenet’ is seen as the way to true spiritual growth. 

As a spiritual tradition, Gupti is viewed as a total restraint on  speech, body and mind to provide a protective cover to the self and keep the purity of soul intact or un-soiled by the worldly onslaught of murk.
