Living from moment to moment makes death to free you from death

Short Note

Reflect on the cycle of birth, life, and death: each belongs to the same wheel, and birth and death meet at its turning point. We enter the world through a birth borrowed from death, with a debt we must one day repay. We die because death is - we die of death.  Meditate on the instant where birth meets death—the moment of freedom from both life and death.

Death is inevitable; all of us will die. Birth and death are movements within an eternal, divine process, while the explanations of the transient mind and material world invent dreams are illusions for longevity and fragile ego of playing God. Understand that death alone can release us from death, and life alone can release us from life. So die to life, or live in readiness for death - live a life of detached witness.  So live from moment and die moment to moment to free life from its false and egoistic hold on life.

Freedom from Life and Death: A Poem

The wheel spins round in endless turns,
From light to dark it flows,
The flame of life that leaps and burns,
And fades as shadow grows.

A borrowed breath we take at birth,
From death the loan is made,
We walk upon this worldly earth,
Until the debts are paid.

We die of death, the inevitable end,
A lesson meant to keep,
Where birth and funeral meet to blend,
In silence dark and deep.

The reasons why are veils of cloud,
Illusions in the sun,
The cradle matches well the shroud,
Before the race is run.

To free the soul from life’s own chain,
Give up delusions today,
To die to joy and die to pain,
And let ego decay.

Let every moment cease to be,
As falling leaves depart,
To find the gate that sets us free,
Within the quiet heart.

For where the start and finish meet,
Beyond the reach of breath,
The cycle ends in stillness sweet,
Beyond both life and death
