Einstein's Inkling about Immortality and Eternity before His Death

Einstein's Inkling about Immortality and Eternity before His Death

Einstein stood and looked at the clock,
He said the ticking is only a trick.
Past and future are clouds in the sky,
The present is just where the eyes lie.

Everything happens at once in the light,
The morning, the noon, and the middle of night.
A river of moments that never quite flows,
It sits in space-time fabric where everything grows.

My body is one leaf among all the rest,
Held on a branch at the center of quest.
When I wither and fall to the cooling ground,
My atoms are still in the circle found.

Nothing is lost to the dark or the deep,
The laws of the cosmos have secrets to keep.
Energy shifts but it never will die,
Part of the whole as the ages go by

The body fades, its atoms drift and blend,
A part of all that has no start or end.
