 REMEMBERING SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI SAHIB
ON HIS JYOTI-JYOT DIWAS WITH HIS CORE MESSAGE

QUATRAIN ON PARMARTHA
In this brief life, the goal is clear,
To hold the Supreme Truth most dear.
To see the One in all we meet,
And lay our ego at His feet.

QUATRAIN ON UNIVERSALITY OF IK ONKAR
The path is one of steady mind,
To leave all bitterness behind.
In every soul, the Light remains,
Beyond our joys, beyond our pains.

QUATRAIN ON 'NAAM JAPANA'
So walk the road of inner peace,
And let your restless longings cease.
First, chant the Name to keep hearts pure,
A constant strength that will endure.

QUATRAIN ON 'KIRAT KARNI'
Then work with hands, honest and true,
With integrity in all you do.
For work is worship, done with care,
A labor that the soul can bear.

QUATRAIN ON 'VAND CHHAKANA"
And share the fruit that you have gained,
With open hands, by love sustained.
To give to others is to find,
The One who dwells in all mankind.

QUATRAIN ON 'REALISING
PARMARTHA IS TRUE LIBERATION'

This is the purpose, vast and deep,
A sacred promise we must keep:
To know the Truth and live it well,
Where love and light forever dwell.

A limerick  Young Dipke, a chap quite astute, Was ink-attacked, a messy pursuit. He stayed calm and meek, As the attacker woman did shriek, "Blue's my color!" he said, with sweet hoot.
