DIRTY POLITICS TODAY: A POEM
DIRTY POLITICS TODAY: A POEM
A creeping vine, on twisted ground,
Politics grows, where darkness is found.
Low thoughts it feeds on, selfish and sly,
A hungry heart, behind a practiced lie.
Divide and conquer, the cruelest of games,
Fanning the embers, fueling the flames.
Humanity's sorrow, a constant refrain,
Nourished and watered, again and again.
They promise solutions, with silver-tongued plea,
But they are the chaos, the root of unease.
They stir up the water, so troubled and deep,
And catch their own wishes, while the world cannot sleep.
