AN INDIAN REPUBLIC DAY SONG

REPUBLIC THEME SONG

(Verse 1)
From Himalayan peaks to the ocean’s blue shore,
The Republic of India rises evermore.
With freedom attained and a tricolor high,
Underneath the vast and diverse Indian sky.
A land of unity in immense diversity,
United in spirit, defying all adversity.

(Chorus)
A sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic,
Governed by and for the people, in a bond so public.
World's largest democracy, standing proud and strong,
Together as one, singing fundamental freedoms' song.

(Verse 2)
Nation and public are governed by its Constitution,
A guiding light leading to our evolution.
Through a parliamentary system we hold our sway,
Where voices are heard in a rightful way.
With justice and liberty, the pledge we take,
For the prosperity of all, for nation’s sake.

(Chorus)
A sovereign, socialist...

(Outro)
The Republic forever lives!
Jai Hind!

A limerick  Young Dipke, a chap quite astute, Was ink-attacked, a messy pursuit. He stayed calm and meek, As the attacker woman did shriek, "Blue's my color!" he said, with sweet hoot.

But God's name is a sturdy ship, A promise held upon your lip. Remember Him with every breath, Think of His love, escape from death. Meditate upon His grace, Find peace in this uncertain space. That ship will sail, beyond the pain, To liberation's sunny plain.
