A child, unseen, in school hall,
Felt shadows lengthen and fall.
The walls, so grand,
Hid a cruel hand,
Where voices could not break through the wall.

Within walls tall and grand,
A small shadow did stand.
Elite eyes would sting,
A fragile, clipped wing,
In silence, across the cold land.
