 In praise of the Gita: Couplets
 
O Gita, song of light,
From Krishna's words, so bright.
 
A path to set us free,
To find eternity.
 
Its glory, vast and deep,
Secrets it does keep.
 
A lifetime's quest to find,
The wisdom for mankind.
 
Each turn of page, a deeper view,
Eternally fresh, forever new.
 
A lifetime spent to understand,
This sacred text, across the land.
 
Sing, hear, recite with grace,
Study its sacred space.
 
Teach, dwell within its art,
And make it your own heart.
 
Reflect, contemplate with care,
Breathe Gita in the air.

Yoga Day 2025 Theme: Yoga for One Earth, One Health

 The 11th edition of the UN proclaimed International Day of Yoga is going to be observed on June 21, 2025, with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.  According to the UN the theme 'echoes a vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked.' "Yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind and fosters a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility in daily life. This mindfulness allows one to choose healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. In caring for ourselves, we begin to care for the Earth, reflecting the enduring Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family," adds the UN.  Late Yoga guru B. K. S. Iyengar had once said, “Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.”

An in-between state, mystery unveiled.   For qubits hold both zero and just one, A curious mix, simultaneously true, A spinning state, where choices are begun, A power that our classic bits ne'er knew.   And then entanglement, a bond so deep, Change one, the distant partner mirrors fast, A 'spooky action' that our secrets keep, A mystery where old logic cannot last.   From this strange science, wonders will unfold, A new computing, brave and truly bold. This quantum dance, a future we embrace, Technology reborn in time and space.
