Turn 'old' into 'gold' through spiritual tempering: Special Poem on Senior Citizen Day
Special Poem on Senior Citizen Day
~Lalit Kishore
The golden years, a quiet, gentle space,
To unlock wisdom, long held deep inside.
A spiritual journey, finding grace,
Where passions wane, and truer selves abide.
The winding road of life, now clear to see,
A tapestry of joy, of loss, of pain,
Self-knowledge blooms, a boundless entity,
With gentle care, new heights we can attain.
No longer bound by earthly, fleeting things,
Compassion's virtue lights the fading day.
We claim ourselves, as freedom softly sings,
And learn to let old burdens slip away.
With equanimity, the heart finds peace,
A perfect play, where earthly worries cease.
