Embrace Sannyasa Ashrama if Seventy Five Plus: A Poem on World Senior Citizen Day
A Poem on World Senior Citizen Day
~Lalit Kishore
Beyond the years, where silver streaks the hair,
And seventy-five has marked its gentle claim,
A path unfolds, a life beyond compare,
Sannyasa Ashrama, whispered as its name.
Release the grasp on treasures, held so tight,
Let family ties loosen, with loving grace,
Embrace the simple life, free from spot-light,
Save that which shines within a sacred space.
No earthly wants to bind, no social chains,
But meditation's hush, and self-survey,
Service to all, which washes clean the stains,
Preparing soul to greet a brighter day.
To break the wheel, escape the endless tide,
And merge with source, where peace and truth reside.
