Living Soulfully: A Poem

Never forget, you are a soul,
A true self beyond both body and mind. 
Be soulful always, let your spirit unfold,
Purify your life to grasp the divine.

With austerity and penance, cleanse your flesh,
Restrain your senses, let distractions cease.
Through self-reflection, grant your mind a rest,
In quiet meditation, find your peace.

Purify yourself, the bridge to the divine,
In this union, let your spirit shine.
life's purpose is to align with the divine
Be soulful in every moment, live fit 'n fine

Yoga Day 2025 Theme: Yoga for One Earth, One Health

 The 11th edition of the UN proclaimed International Day of Yoga is going to be observed on June 21, 2025, with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.  According to the UN the theme 'echoes a vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked.' "Yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind and fosters a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility in daily life. This mindfulness allows one to choose healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. In caring for ourselves, we begin to care for the Earth, reflecting the enduring Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family," adds the UN.  Late Yoga guru B. K. S. Iyengar had once said, “Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.”
