Fast technological progress and existential crisis: A poem

Fast technological progress and existential crisis: A poem

~Lalit Kishore

 Material progress and automated lifestyle
Coupled with chase for sensual gratifications
Worldly transient joys leave behind deep void
Thirst for receding mirages creates deep delusions

Amidst perishable worldly life’s fragile bloom
At times inner quest raises qualms that abound
Is meaning of earthly life found in fleeting things?
Is material-sensual life all or something beyond?

"Why am I here?" and "Where do I go then?"
“How to live with purpose ‘n let spirits soar?”
The answers are within, for us to explore
To discover the existential wisdom for sure
