WARS TODAY: A POEM
WARS TODAY: A POEM
The bombs fall hard, a cruel divide,
Where right and wrong are swept aside.
Politics twisted, dark and deep,
While people killed and kids weep.
The hunger for rare earths, glint of gold,
A thirst for power that can never hold,
So dominance and greed in conflict meet,
A bitter harvest, eternally complete.
No battle lines, no open fight,
Just cyber attacks steal the light.
The drone takes flight, a metal bird,
No pilot seen, no sound is heard.
A sudden flash, a silent tear,
Control asserted, far and near.
The schools burn, houses are gone,
For market share, the wars rage on.
A thirst for power that can never cease,
So dominance and greed in conflict meet!
