 IWD 2026 Theme 'When We Give, We Gain' : A Poem

When fortunes overflow and coffers gleam,

A gentle hand to lift the ones in need,

To mend the gaps, a philanthropic dream,

Where government's broad strokes cannot succeed.

Beyond mere giving, bridges we must build,

'Twixt gender's chasm, where injustice lies.

With empathy, gender gaps are filled,

Resilient bonds beneath empowering skies.

Investments bloom where equity takes root,

And innovation nurtures fairer days.

Collaboration bears abundant fruit,

With sharing 'n guiding, in a thousand ways.

So share the surplus, ease another's plight,

And build a future bathed in equal light.
