Yogkshem or Merciful God Precept of the Bhagavad Gita: Meaning and Inspired Couplets

BHAGAVAD GITA VERSE 9.22

अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जना: पर्युपासते ।
तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम् ॥

MEANING

Lord Krishna says that those who always worship Me with all time exclusive devotion, meditating on God's transcendental form – to them God carries and grants what they lack, and preserves what devotees have.

INSPIRED COUPLET

Each breath, a gift, from hands above,
Feel Him near, in light and love.

Hear His name, in gentle song,
Chant His praise, all day long.

Remember Him, in thought and deed,
For every soul, a planted seed.

Offer prayers, with humble heart,
Let grateful tears, freely start.

Worship Him, with love so true,
Serve His feet, in all you do.

Help others rise, with gentle hand,
Compassion spread, across the land.

Be selfless, kind, in every way,
Let love be light, to guide your day.

Devotion pure, the path to see,
Yourself, and God, eternally.

The heart's deep wish, just one thing sought,
God-consciousness, dearly bought.

To join with Him, the Highest Lord,
A sweet connection, truly adored.

Yogkshem, they say, the name so kind,
His loving grace, you're sure to find.

Protected now, by gentle hand,
Away from trouble, on solid land.

No turning back, to sorrow's sway,
He keeps you safe, along the way.

From worldly chains, He sets you free,
Eternally, His devotee.

With heart so pure, and love so bright,
Worship Supreme Being, day and night,

Feel God's presence, who sees all,
Respond to His loving call.

His form beyond, a gentle light,
In quiet moments, hold it tight.

Meditate deep, let worries cease,
Find in His presence perfect peace.

For needs unmet, for longings deep,
His grace descends, while others sleep.

For gifts you hold, so dear and true,
His love sustains, protecting you.

So trust in Him, in every way,
He guides your path, come what may.

With devotion true, and faith so strong,
He fills your life, where you belong.
