Ixora flower, woods flame: A Poem

Ixora flower, woods flame: A Poem

Red flowers in garden deep,
Ixora wakes from leafy sleep.
A little bush, a flame so bright,
Four petals catching morning light.

Jungle's whisper, woods aflame,
A tropic tale, a fiery name.
Geranium's kin, but redder still,
Tropical thrill, on land and hill.

Home garden's choice, a bold display,
Of red-kissed hues, come what may.
Easy kept, in sunshine warm,
Sheltered in shade, shielded from harm
