A God is born of need, of fear,
A painted sky, a story near.
We raise a form, a face to find,
Reflections of a human mind.

Belief becomes a gilded cage,
Ritual a turning, endless page.
We build a wall, a faith-bound hold,
To keep Reality dark and cold.

But thought, a flicker in the night,
Can never grasp the endless light.
To chase the Truth with straining will,
Is chasing shadows, standing still.
