COMPULSIVE LIAR: A POEM
COMPULSIVE LIAR: A POEM
In shadows where truth seldom dares to tread,
Lives a breed of souls, their hearts unfed,
Compulsive liars, in their web they spin,
A tale so grand, it masks their sin.
Habitually they weave lies so fine,
It's their second skin, cloaks that shine,
In every word, deceit they weave,
A truthless dance, own soul they deceive.
Even where honesty would suffice,
They mask their hearts in falsehood's guise,
A self-serving nature, their guiding star,
In relationships, they leave a scar.
They inflict on bonds, a poison's breath,
Trust erodes, as their tales stretch,
The beauty of truth, they've long forsaken,
In their world, lies are the only token.
