Purpose of life is to discover existential Truth: Couplets

Purpose of life is to discover existential Truth: Couplets

Whence do I come? What is this life I lead?
Is there a spirit, more than simply need,

If senses reign, then little more I am
A devil’s pawn, a victim to a sham,

Who am I truly, past the skin and bone?
A higher truth that is not widely known?

My core asks why I live, what I must be,
To find my soul's deep truth, and set it free.

But deeper stirs a longing, pure and bright,
To shed this mask and soar into the light,

A yearning for a freedom yet unknown,
To find a bliss eternally my own.

To break the chains, to reach that perfect state,
Liberated soul, beyond earthly fate.
