Organized religions verses self-discovery of existential truth: A poem

Organized religions  verses self-discovery of existential truth: A poem

The chains of dogma bind, a gilded cage
With rites and rituals, a worship place show.
Blind faith, conditioning upon life's stage,
Creates a slavery that none may know.

From clever thoughts these structures rise and loom,
A source of conflict, fear, and bitter strife,
Lost in the shadows of the worship room,
Far from the wholeness of a truer life.

For priests and gurus, power they pursue,
And wealth and status, earthly and so crass.
Un-condition now, the cosmos is you,
Find meaning in the moment that does pass.

True faith's a heart of goodness, love, and light,
Existential truth within your insight.
