Gun culture advocate shot dead during live debate on university campus in US: News and limerick

"Charlie Kirk, a prominent conservative activist and close ally of US President Donald Trump, was fatally shot Thursday while speaking at Utah Valley University," reported TOI. It is said that Kirk was an advocate of gun rights and had been opposing immigration and visa to Indians who had earlier said that it was worthwhile to have some gun deaths every single year.

According to Wikipedia (see inset pic.), Charles James Kirk (October 14, 1993 – September 10, 2025) was an American conservative. political activist, author, and media personality.

LIMERICK

A speaker who championed the gun,
And wished, no immigrants to come 

But a shot took his breath,
A sad chance with death,

His own strong beliefs now undone.
