A Jain Raksha Bandhan Poem
A Jain Raksha Bandhan Poem
A time of fear, a tyrant's hand,
Seven hundred monks, held in the land.
Vishnu Kumar, Jain Muni brave,
Rose up for 'Shraman Sangh' to save.
He calmed the storm, with wisdom's light,
And pushed the darkness out of sight.
A day to mark, this selfless deed,
When courage sowed a vital seed.
Now every year, Jains tie the thread,
A promise whispered, fears allayed.
To temples old, to friends so near,
Rakhi's bond, casting out all fear.
On wooden bench, where monks would rest,
Rakhi is tied, a symbol blessed.
For self-care too, this day we see,
Protecting life, for you and me.
Do good deeds, a gentle way,
Connect each other, day by day.
Be and let be, the Jain's decree,
Vegan and kind, for all to see.
Detach from world, with penance deep,
Non-violence seeds, we will reap.
Jain Rakshabandhan, a sacred call,
Protecting life, embracing all.
