 Haiku on Karma Yoga, Detached Action

Strive with all your might,
Work for the act, not reward,
Let the rest go free.

Shine with all your heart,
Work for joy, not for reward,
Let the outcome go.

Duty you musn't shirk
Put your heart and soul in it
Work for joy of work

Always do your best
Do for the worth of doing
forego the results

 The 11th edition of the UN proclaimed International Day of Yoga is going to be observed on June 21, 2025, with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.  According to the UN the theme 'echoes a vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked.' "Yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind and fosters a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility in daily life. This mindfulness allows one to choose healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. In caring for ourselves, we begin to care for the Earth, reflecting the enduring Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family," adds the UN.  Late Yoga guru B. K. S. Iyengar had once said, “Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.”
