Spiritualized teacher education: A Poem and a visual

 POEM ON TEACHER

Within the created institutional learning space, 
Let the co-construction of knowledge take place
Teachers must purify own minds, first and foremost
They must kindle their souls 'n sanctify their post

Through mindful practices, teaching path is to be tread,
To embark journey of self-discovery, soulfully well bred.
The teacher is transformed into mirror polished and clear
Reflecting truth's bright radiance, banishing all fear.

With empathy's soft whispers 'n compassion's gentle touch,
A sacred space is woven, throughout the school as such. 
Understand pupils we, both their joys and their despair,
Guide them for life's purpose, dispelling doubts with care.

Teachers must hone heart's language, beyond the spoken word,
Since by fostering wit-n-wisdom, life's true lessons are stirred.
It's in creating sacred space of learning wherein souls ignite,
Let teachers flourish their souls first with truth's pure light.

Yoga Day 2025 Theme: Yoga for One Earth, One Health

 The 11th edition of the UN proclaimed International Day of Yoga is going to be observed on June 21, 2025, with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.  According to the UN the theme 'echoes a vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked.' "Yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind and fosters a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility in daily life. This mindfulness allows one to choose healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. In caring for ourselves, we begin to care for the Earth, reflecting the enduring Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family," adds the UN.  Late Yoga guru B. K. S. Iyengar had once said, “Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.”
