Making a sense of Needonomics economic theory: An interaction with economic theory propounder Prof. Goel resulting into an ABC poem

This blogger, Dr Lalit Kishore, an alumnus of Kurukshetra University,  happened to visit Professor MM Goel, the propounder of Needonomics - who is also a person of many parts such as being a good 'humanist, thinker, researcher, educator, trainer, good orator, motivator, counselor, writer, economic analyst, reviewer, editor and journalist' - at his residence in Kurukshetra on October 18, 2024 and interacted with him for about two hours.

The outcome of the interaction, as I understood, is being summarized as an ABC verse as follows.

A: Adaptation of Gita-based economics for the solutions of the contemporary problems caused by gross materialism,  greedonomic  and exclusive society

B:Based on dire and minimal needs, and material possession, the theory of needonomics propounded by Indian Economist Prof. MM Geol emphasizes the  fulfilling life through the transition 'from monkey mind to monk mind' through 'Sankhya Yoga'

C: Connected to humanity through soulfulness or universal presence all-pervading supreme consciousness, humans need to live a life of spirituality detached from gross materialism and desires-fired life of sensual gratifications for  self-sustained world as advocated by 'Karma Yoga'

D: Detached actions, self-less service and servant-leadership style of governance are the keys to sustainability

E: Economics based on 'needs and not greed' that underscores the sustainable economic practices inspired by the Vedic scripture - The Bhagavad Gita
