According to the Teacher Development Trust [1}, a lesson study as a member of the action research family  is a 'Japanese model of teacher-led research in which a triad of teachers work together to target an identified area for development in their students’ learning. Using existing evidence, participants collaboratively research, plan, teach and observe a series of lessons, using ongoing discussion, reflection and expert input to track and refine their interventions.'

D: Developing research lesson with objectives related to what to teach, how to teach and with what material to teach

E: Evolving and fine-tuning the lesson through the outcomes of identification learning challenge through a lesson plan, rehearsal, transaction, reflection and revision of research lesson with a study report with weekly meetings
