Kurukshetra University to Host International Conference on “Security Dynamics, Climate Change And Sustainable Development In Indo-Pacific Region “

 

Kukushetra University, Kukukshera,(KUK) in Haryana is going to host a three-day international conference on "Security Dynamics, Climate Change and Sustainable Development in Indo-Pacific Region" from on October 14-16, 2024. The conference is the third edition of the ‘International Conference of International Centre for Indo-Pacific Studies’ as the sponsors of the conference.

 The conference has invited the abstracts and the papers on the following themes

  • · Emerging trends in Indo-Pacific strategies at regional level and individual country’s perspective
  • ·  India’s Indo-Pacific Ocean Initiative (IPOP) and collective Multi-polar Security Architecture in IndoPacific

  • · Critical climate issues: Bio-diversity loss, ecosystems collapse and extreme weather events
  •  Environmental problems in Indo-Pacific
  • · Climate resilience activities in Indo-Pacific and Indian Ocean Research
  • ·  Development of Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Mariculture
  • ·  Maritime Spatial Planning Ocean Accounting
  • ·   Deep Sea-bed Manning 
  •    Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Sustainable Development and Inclusive Growth
  • ·   Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0
  • ·   Technology and Future of Sustainable Tourism
  • ·    Emerging Pathways for Sustainable Renewable Energy

The deadlines of the abstract and paper submissions are are August 20, 2024 and September 21, 2024 respectively.

Yoga Day 2025 Theme: Yoga for One Earth, One Health

 The 11th edition of the UN proclaimed International Day of Yoga is going to be observed on June 21, 2025, with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.  According to the UN the theme 'echoes a vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked.' "Yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind and fosters a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility in daily life. This mindfulness allows one to choose healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. In caring for ourselves, we begin to care for the Earth, reflecting the enduring Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family," adds the UN.  Late Yoga guru B. K. S. Iyengar had once said, “Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.”
