Dhammam Saranam Gacchami: Be spiritual and righteous, become not ritualistic religious: Short Note and inspired Haiku

 SHORT NOTE

'Dhammam saranam gacchami' in Buddhism means 'I take refuge in spiritual and righteous life based on the teachings of the Buddha.'

Buddhism deems the Buddha as a teacher or guide and the Dharma as His teachings. The symbolism of the teachings of the Buddha is in the form of the Dharma Wheel or Dharmachakra having eight spokes. 

The eight spokes of the Dharmachakra represent the Eightfold Path of spiritual life which consists of Right View, Right Resolve, Right Speech, Right Actions, Right Occupation, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration.

 Doing deeds for own worth

With sense, spirit of duty -

Life of selfless acts!

Know thyself foremost -

Your lust, desires, cravings -

They cause misery

~*~

Detach from ego -

Undo demerit Karma

And renounce the world

~*~

Acquire, live ethics

Be wise,  discerning

For pro-active life

~*~

Sense of righteousness

Doing right thinking and deeds -

Right cause-effect link!

 Vidya Bharati Run Girls School in Jaipur Receives Commonwealth Award for Maths Project Led by Dr Lalit Kishore Association for Science Education (ASE) 2024 Annual Conference was held from 4th to 6th January at the University of Northampton's Waterside Campus in the United Kingdom. The ASE Conference Technicians day (5th January) was officially sponsored by Philip Harris, part of the Findel Group.   C'Wealth Award for Dr Kishore for math education innovation at girls' school of Vidya Bharati in Jaipur The Annual Conference of Association of Science Education (ASE)-2024 was held at the University of Northampton's Waterside Campus in January, from the 4th to the 6th inclusive, informed the organizers. The UK's largest gathering of science educators from across the education spectrum witnessed more than 250 sessions with keynotes, speakers and workshops.  There was also an exhibition of science education organisations, social events and a special schools exhibition for local schools to showcase science projects.
