The parable of three blind men and an elephant in Jainsim

The parable of three blind men and an elephant in Jainsim

There were three blind men living in a village who had never heard of an elephant. When a groom riding an elephant came to the village they heard about the animal, They expressed their desire to touch the elephant and imagine it and tell one another what was an elephant like.

Elephant was big and each of them touched it to learn and imagine what the elephant was like.  Each blind man felt a different part of the animal's body and imagined its shape.

Then they described the animal based on their limited experience and each one's elephant was different.  They soon started calling one another liars and came to blows. They were separated and whisked away for the marriage procession to move on.
