Needed is revival of limerick poems in schools to enliven classrooms ~ Lalit Kishore

For classroom use, teachers at times must provide the experience of writing and presenting limericks in rap style since they are short, subtle, rhyming, witty, bold and bouncy. Since, limericks combine rhythm and rhyming, they make the message easy to memorize. 

Limericks, like all poetic forms, have a set of rules that you need to follow. The rules for a limerick are fairly simple. A limerick is is a five line long poem in which the lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme with one another, while lines 3 and 4 rhyme with each other. These days, limericks poetry is being performed as spoken word art and rap style is most popular

Tech mania and screen addiction are being viewed as new mental diseases by the psychiatrists and modern sins by the various religions. 

However, the tech mania has spread globally with on-line buying, on-line working and on-line learning a norm. Consequently, the screen addiction as obsessive-compulsive disorder has even hit the toddlers in the families since they initially learn by imitating the elders. Screen addiction is being seen as a virtual pandemic that being spread by market forces.

It has been reported that the screen addiction and tech mania isolate their victims to ruin them socially, emotionally, ethically and economically.

Physicians and psychiatrists warn that modern technology gadgets and screen addiction expose the body and brain both to dangerous radiations that can cause many life-risking diseases such as early heart attack and brain tumour besides sloth, laziness, obesity and hard wax in ears leading to auditory problems.

Be not governed by silly-frilly

Better, beware of menacing divide-n-rule mentalist

 Vidya Bharati Run Girls School in Jaipur Receives Commonwealth Award for Maths Project Led by Dr Lalit Kishore Association for Science Education (ASE) 2024 Annual Conference was held from 4th to 6th January at the University of Northampton's Waterside Campus in the United Kingdom. The ASE Conference Technicians day (5th January) was officially sponsored by Philip Harris, part of the Findel Group.
