 Art Integrated Learning - AIL: Understanding the innovative approach to learning through an acrostic and action researching ~Lalit Kishore

According to the NCERT, Art Integrated Learning (AIL) is a 'teaching-learning model' in  which various 'art forms' become the 'mediums of teaching-learning process' for understanding 'concepts within any subject of the school curriculum.' It is an experiential learning framework making use of various artm for an equitable learning environment for all learners by utilizing basics of various art-forms as access points or entry to lessons or revising lesson.


AIL Acrostic: Understanding Art Integrated Learning 

A: A for Adaptation: Adaptation of art elements (visual-spatial presentation, balance and beauty) of various art-forms consciously in transaction of various subject areas, classroom instructions and lessons

I: I for Inventiveness and innovation: "Inventive and constructivist learning pedagogy which is based on learning 'through the arts' and 'with the arts'  by 'using different arts such as dance, drama, music, visual arts, etc. (~NCERT)

L: L for Learning: Learning academics in classroom with non-art use of art-forms to make learning of content inclusive, differentiated, experiential and accelerated  

HOW TO BEGIN

"The only way to induct AIL into classroom processes at school level is through triangulated inter-disciplinary lesson studies and participitory action research. All innovations and reforms are required to be learned by teachers first through research lessons with stake of school managent into it," me thinks

  C'Wealth Award for Dr Kishore for math education innovation at girls' school of Vidya Bharati in Jaipur The Annual Conference of Association of Science Education (ASE)-2024 was held at the University of Northampton's Waterside Campus in January, from the 4th to the 6th inclusive, informed the organizers. The UK's largest gathering of science educators from across the education spectrum witnessed more than 250 sessions with keynotes, speakers and workshops.  There was also an exhibition of science education organisations, social events and a special schools exhibition for local schools to showcase science projects.  Vidya Bharati Run Girls School in Jaipur Receives Commonwealth Award for Maths Project Led by Dr Lalit Kishore Association for Science Education (ASE) 2024 Annual Conference was held from 4th to 6th January at the University of Northampton's Waterside Campus in the United Kingdom. The ASE Conference Technicians day (5th January) was officially sponsored by Philip Harris, part of the Findel Group. The Commonwealth Association of Science, Technology and Mathematics Educators (CASTME) partnered with Findel International Education Resources and Philip Harris to sponsor awards. The names of the award recipients are announced at the ASE conference.
